services
I offer primarily weekly therapy of 45-50 minutes per session, although I often offer additional sessions per week to clients that are in particular distress or feel/appear unsafe.
Where appropriate I can work within a short-term model that helps individuals move from an unstable place to a stable one, with a greater understanding of mental and physical health, better coping mechanisms, and stronger relationships and supports. In some cases reasonable short-term goals can be achieved within 8-10 sessions. However, typically the work takes place over a longer period and change occurs at a deeper level.
Assessment tools available free online:
The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale
The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7

FEES & INSURANCE
FEES
My professional fee for a 50-minute session is $300 per session for full-fee clients. However, I am sometimes able to reduce that fee for clients with reduced incomes and about half of my caseload does not pay for therapy.
INSURANCE
I do not work directly with insurance. However, many insurance companies will reimburse you for mental health services received up to a certain amount. At the end of the month I can provide you with documentation of services received that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.
If you would like to involve insurance, it is a good idea to contact your insurance company (or have a partner do so if you need assistance) to ask about mental health benefits before we meet and obtain permission to receive reimbursement for an out-of-network provider. Some questions to address:

- Do I have out-of-network behavioral health insurance benefits?
- Do I have a deductible, what is it, and when does it reset?
- What is the coverage amount for each therapy session (CPT code 90834)?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
